Honey is not only delicious food but also a very healthy thing that helps us avoid and overcome many problems

  1. Acne treatment

Honey facial mask will help to get rid of spots and redness. To make a facial mask 1 table spoon of honey mix with 1 tea spoon of olive oil. Apply it on your face and in 20 minutes rinse it off with warm water. Honey will clean the pores and gives a natural gleam to your skin.

GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is an inflammation of the esophagus and is always followed by heartburn. Honey can regulate excess stomach acid production.

To soothe the irritated esophagus have 1 tea spoon of honey (5 ml) one hour before meals twice a day.

Apply a some honey to a cut or a scrape. It will prevent infection. Honey has antibacterial properties due to the protein defensin-1. This protein is part of the bees’ immune system. That is why honey can destroy microbes.

Make an ointment with 1 tea spoon of honey, 50 ml of olive oil and 50 g of beeswax. Apply it on a gauze sponge and to the affected area twice a day. It will help to reduce pain, bleeding and irritation.

To get rid of cold sores and blisters on the lips, apply honey four times a day.
